Disposable Respirators

Disposable respirators (more commonly known as N95 mask respirator, N95 respirator, NIOSH respirator, ffp1 mask respirator, ffp2 mask respirator, ffp3 respirator, N95 masks, face masks, 3M respirator masks and flu masks), are a must for light-duty or short-duration applications when the environment contains irritating substances and particles.

Respirator Features are intended to keep workers safe, productive and on-the-job by filtering out harmful particulates, dusts, fumes, vapors and mists. Most disposable respirators are generally lighter, more economical and comfortable than other options such as air-purifying respirator, supplied-air respirator or powered air respirator models (which are required for workers operating in more dangerous environments) .

Nearly all Conney respirator offerings meet the stringent NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety) standards. Air Purifying Respirators

Air Purifying Respirators (APR) provide workers with respiratory protection from harsh environments. These respirator masks, also known as a gas mask respirator, full face mask, half face mask and full face respirator, function similarly to the disposable respirator, however, they are much more versatile. Conney offers 3M respirators, North respirators, MSA respirators and Sperian respirators in many different sizes.

APR respirator masks filter through negative pressure, meaning that when you breathe in the respirator mask, negative pressure is applied to the face. This distinction is important as all supplied air respirator and powered air respirator designs operate under a positive pressure environment, so the air is blown into the respirator mask through the filter.

APR respirator masks come in two different styles: half face respirator mask and full face respirator mask. Both respirator options operate in the same manner, but you gain face and eye protection by using the full face respirator mask.

In many workplace environments there are risks of chemical splashes or irritating vapors that can hurt workers eyes and a full face respirator model will fully protect you from any of these threatening situations.
Disposable Half-Mask Respirators

The disposable half mask respirator combines the fit, comfort and breathability of a traditional reusable half-mask respirator with the convenience of a disposable respirator.

Try this convenient respirator when you need a simple and pre-assembled mask designed for a specific application, such as painting. When you’re done with the respirator mask, simply throw it away. Cartridges, Filters & Accessories

Choose between many essential chemical respirator cartridge and respirator filters. Respirator cartridges contain a specially-treated activated carbon that effectively adsorbs harmful chemicals. You can select from respirator cartridge and filters available for the 3M respirator, North Safety, MSA or Sperian.

Acid gas, organic vapor, multi-gas and N95 respirator cartridge and respirator filters protect against the majority of workplace respiratory threats, but we also carry many other respirator cartridges such as ammonia, HEPA, P100 and formaldehyde respirator cartridges. When the parts on your respirator wear out, check online for inexpensive respirator replacements. Replacement prefilters, inhalation valves, exhalation valves and respirator filter covers will keep your respirator functioning properly.
Supplied Air Parts & Equipment

A supplied air respirator provides higher levels of respiratory protection from contaminants than a disposable respirator or an air purifying respirator. These flexible supplied air respirator systems pump clean breathing air provided by the surrounding work environment through positive pressure to the respirator mask. An air pump efficiently sucks the air from a clean breathing area and pushes it through an air hose to the workers respirator in a hazardous area.

Use a supplied air respirator when your working environment contains dangerous chemicals that cannot be blocked out using chemical respirator cartridges. Call our technical team if you are unsure of the contaminants in your environment and we can talk you through the respirator selection process.

Two different supplied air respirator systems are available: low pressure and high pressure respirator systems. Respirator Helmets, hoods, full facepieces and half-masks are all available for both units.
Powered Air Parts & Equipment

Try a PAPR respirator when you’re working in a risky environment for long stretches of the day. A PAPR respirator will provide far superior respiratory protection than a disposable respirator or air purifying respirator by drawing air through chemical respirator cartridges.

A PAPR respirator stays cooler and provides more comfort, because the motorized respirator unit pushes positive-pressure breathable air to your respirator hood or mask. The pushed air decreases breathing strain and improves your productivity.

Choose from a wide variety of PAPR respirator parts and equipment including: respirator hoods, head covers, air hoses, battery chargers, prefilters, breathing tubes and chemical respirator cartridges.
SCBA Parts & Equipment

A Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) provides the highest level of respiratory protection available. SCBAs supply fresh and breathable air for cleanup of chemical spills, escape from contaminated areas, oxygen deficient or Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) environments.

Pressurized air flows through the respirator facepiece and creates a safe environment for extremely dangerous situations.

A NIOSH-approved SCBA includes an air cylinder, harness and respirator facepiece. Multiple harness and respirator mask sizes are available, so contact our technical team with your questions.
Respirator Maintenance & Testing

Respirator fit-testing ensures a safe and proper fit for your respirator and should be included in all respiratory programs. A respirator fit test kit will highlight a leak around the respirator seal and determine if an alternative respirator should be worn.
